Coaxial Cable System
Get stable signal propagation and reduced interference in secure and regulated communication environments.
Coaxial Solutions for EMI/RFI Mitigation
EMC Eupen coaxial CMS cables are ferrite-coated coaxial solutions designed to absorb radio frequency energy rather than reflect it.
A layer of ferrite is extruded over the cable shield and beneath the outer jacket, creating a low-observable effect that reduces conducted and radiated RF emissions.
Ferrite-Enhanced Coaxial Cables
This absorption-based behavior converts RF energy into heat, minimizing reflections that can interfere with sensitive measurements.
These cables are commonly referred to as stealth cables and are widely used in EMC laboratories and RF measurement environments.
Please note that coaxial CMS cables are available by special order only, with a minimum order quantity of 10,000 meters.
Impedance Options
Both 50-ohm and 75-ohm ferrite-coated coaxial cables are available to support a wide range of RF and signal transmission requirements.
Typical Applications
Coaxial CMS cables are commonly used for connections between antennas and measurement equipment, as well as for video signal transmission in environments subject to significant electromagnetic radiation.
These cables support stable signal performance in high-interference locations.
Standard Cable Types
The following standard configurations are available by special order:
- CMS RG 58, 50 ohm
- CMS RG 214, 50 ohm
- LTI RG 58, 50 ohm
Performance Characteristics
Ferrite-coated coaxial CMS cables demonstrate increasing attenuation as frequency rises, supporting effective suppression of high-frequency interference.
Typical attenuation values for LTI RG 58 include low loss at lower frequencies with progressively higher attenuation through the MHz and GHz ranges.
CMS cable types are engineered with controlled capacitance, low screen resistance, and defined transfer impedance characteristics to support reliable RF performance in regulated environments.
