Hook-Up Cables | Coaxial CMS Cables
Please note: These cables are available by special order only – minimum order 10,000 meters.
Both 50 and 75 ohm ferrite coated coax cables are available.
Coaxial cables have a layer of ferrite extruded over the shields (and under the outer jacket) allowing it to have a “stealthy” effect on RF.
This phenomena is a result of the RF being absorbed by the ferrite rather than being reflected.
The absorbed RF energy is given off in the form of heat. Stealth cables are commonly used in EMC labs and RF measurement chambers.

Typical Use
Connection between antennas and measuring equipment. Transmission of video signals in places that are subject to electromagnetic radiation.
Available Types:
CMS RG 58 – 50 ohm
CMS RG 214 -50 ohm
LTI RG 58-50 ohm
Color:
Outer sheath gray with blue striping
LTI is blue.
Typical transfer impedance ZT related to screen resistance RDC versus frequency - LTI/RG 58 Attenuation(db/100m):
1 MHz: | 1.1 | 200 MHx: | 20.5 |
---|---|---|---|
10 MHz: | 3.95 | 400 MHz: | 31.3 |
100 MHz: | 13.8 | 1000 MHz: | 55 |
